When I was pregnant, I received a wonderful gift from my sister - a nursing cover. Little did I know that it would be one of my most prized possessions once baby was born. I had read about all the benefits of breastfeeding and wanted to follow my Ummi's footsteps in exclusive breastfeeding. And with the nursing cover, I was ready to breastfeed baby anywhere, anytime, without being 'exposed' in public. It had really helped me in making my breastfeeding journey a little more stress-free. And anything stress-free is good!
So, when a lovely friend of mine got pregnant, I decided to give her a nursing cover - and this time it was one that I had made myself. I used my favourite designer fabric and added boning for a peek-a-boo window so that she'd be able to see baby while breastfeeding. I didn't know how much she enjoyed the nursing cover until she told me so and it really made me happy. REALLY HAPPY! So happy, that I decided to share more joy, by making a few more. And before I knew it, they were all in the hands of breastfeeding mommies.
